Psychology
Psychologists have the professional training and clinical skills to help people learn to cope more effectively with life issues and mental health problems. Some people may talk to a psychologist because they want assistance with a condition that is interfering with their lives or physical health, where as others may have short-term problems they want help navigating. Psychology can be useful for issues including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, parenting and behavioural problems.

North Pine Therapists
Psychology services we offer
Through our individual counselling service, we help people to better understand themselves and their conditions such as anxiety and phobias, depression, addictions, mental health, panic disorders, self-esteem and sleep disorders.
Practicing psychologists are also trained to administer and interpret a number of tests and assessments that can help diagnose a condition or tell more about the way a person thinks, feels and behaves. These tests may evaluate intellectual skills, cognitive strengths and weaknesses, personality characteristics and neuropsychological functioning.
Behavioural interventions aim to encourage and increase useful behaviours (such as getting dressed or talking to other people) and reduce or eliminate harmful behaviours (such as self-harm or aggression to others) or those that interfere with learning.
